Elbow & Wrist Pain FAQs
How long does tennis elbow take to heal?
It depends on severity. Many people improve over 6–12 weeks with the right loading, though evidence suggests it’s not unusual for some cases to take longer. I’ll guide grip and forearm strength, adjust aggravating tasks, and progress you back to sport or gym.
Do I need an X-ray, MRI or nerve test for elbow/wrist pain?
Not always. In your initial assessment I’ll clinically reason whether imaging or nerve testing is appropriate and whether it would change your plan. If needed, I can arrange private imaging or liaise with your GP, and I’ll explain what the results mean for your rehab. Seek urgent care after severe trauma, deformity, or numbness/weakness in the hand.
Can I keep lifting or typing with elbow/wrist pain?
Often yes — with the right plan. I’ll help you tweak grip, range and volume, add structured strength work, and use simple pain guidelines so you can keep working or training safely.
