Physiotherapy Treatment for Knee Pain

In your first appointment, I’ll:

  1. Listen to your symptoms, goals and activity demands.

  2. Assess movement, strength and loading to pinpoint what’s driving your pain.

  3. Adapt aggravating tasks so you can stay active while things settle.

I’ll then build a tailored plan, which may include:

  • Targeted strengthening & movement retraining

  • Load management for walking, stairs, sport or running

  • Advice for pacing, footwear and activity progressions

  • Hands-on treatment where appropriate

  • Online support if you prefer virtual sessions

👉 Physiotherapy is typically the best first-line option before considering injections or surgery.

Knee Pain FAQs

How long does knee pain take to improve?
Depends on the cause and your activity. Many knees improve over weeks; I’ll guide strength, load and pacing so you make steady progress.

Do I need an MRI for knee pain?
Not usually. I’ll assess whether imaging is appropriate and likely to change your plan. If indicated, I can arrange private imaging or liaise with your GP and explain the findings.

Can I book if I live in Kingswood?
