Osteoporosis FAQs

Is impact exercise safe with osteoporosis?
In many cases, yes—when introduced gradually and coached with spine-safe technique. I’ll tailor the level and show you how to build up confidently.

Do I need a DEXA scan before starting?
If you have a recent DEXA, bring it. If not, we can begin safely and I’ll clinically reason whether further imaging or GP liaison would change your plan.

Can exercise reduce fracture risk?
Yes—strength, balance and bone-loading programmes can help lower risk and improve confidence in daily tasks.
